Botanical Tree of British Columbia, Western Red Cedar Botanical Art Print

from CA$30.00

Western Red Cedar is the official tree of British Columbia

Beautiful Fact - The word “plicata” in the tree’s Latin name Thuja Plicata comes from a Greek word meaning "folded in plaits," in reference to the arrangement of the leaves. It is sometimes called arbor-vitae, Latin for "Tree of Life”.

Leaves - Western Red Cedar’s foliage is made up of flat, scale-like leaves arranged in overlapping fans. The individual leaves are small and ovate, giving the tree its textured, layered appearance.
