Provincial Tree of Manitoba, White Spruce Botanical Art Print

from CA$30.00

White Spruce is the official provincial tree of Manitoba.

Beautiful Fact - White Spruce is highly valued for its straight grain and pale wood, which is exported to Japan as “shin-kaya.” It’s used as a substitute for the rare kaya tree in crafting boards for the traditional game Go—a quiet link between Canadian forests and Japanese craftsmanship.

Leaves - White Spruce needles are stiff and four-sided, ranging from green to blue-green. Though pointed, they aren’t sharp to the touch. When crushed, they release a strong, skunky scent—giving rise to the local nickname “Skunk Spruce.”

Wall Art Details -

  • We use 300gsm, premium-quality, acid-free matte paper, ensuring our designs maintain their beauty for years to come. The warm white textured surface reflects the delicate, natural details of our subjects
