Provincial Tree of Prince Edward Island, Red Oak Botanical Art Print

from CA$30.00

Red Oak is the official tree of PEI

Beautiful Fact - Red Oak begins life in the shade but thrives in full sun as it matures—reaching its full potential when growing at a distance from other trees. This wide, independent growth gives it a broad crown and a commanding presence in open landscapes.

Leaves - Red Oak leaves are large and deeply lobed, with pointed tips and a classic oak silhouette. They turn a rich red in the fall—especially striking against the softer tones of the East Coast. Each leaf typically grows 12–22 cm long.

Red Oak needs exposure to full sun as it ages, growing best when well separate from other trees.
