Beautiful Fact - Black Spruce trees often form a tight cluster of branches at their tops, creating a distinctive shape sometimes called a “crow’s nest.” This silhouette is especially striking in northern landscapes, where the tree stands tall and narrow against the sky.
Leaves - Black Spruce needles are short, stiff, and four-sided, with a subtle blue-green hue. While arranged around the twig in all directions, most curve slightly upward, giving the branch a gently uplifted appearance.
